South Africa has become a dynamic market where goods move freely from the manufacturer to the consumer. Some goods are branded by the manufacturers while some by the distributors and the retailers. The consumers choose both the product and the supplier.
The government and the people of South Africa have realized a need to improve small manufacturers in the economic participation in order to integrate the first and the second economy.
The National Industrial Chamber ( NIC) together with Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) have embarked on the initiative to assist the small manufacturing enterprise to gain access to the major market by encouraging major retail stores to purchase goods from the small manufacturers. This effort is in line with the black Economic Empowerment policy.
The National Industrial Chamber facilitates the black manufacturer’s good participation in this programme. Your company can choose from a wide variety of goods produced by the BEE compliant companies, your company will also gain points in the BEE score card while improving participation of SMME’s in the main stream markets.
The objectives of the programme are:
* To find market for goods manufactured by SMME’S.
* The programme aims to promote manufacturers from the PDI.
* To assist manufacturers to supply their product in the main stream line of the economy by supplying the chain stores.
* The programme will provide training and technical assistance to the manufacturers qualifying to supplying the main stores.
Your company is invited to participate in the programme as follows:
* Register in the database of buyers with NIC.
* Provide us with the BEE participation status and the requirement from your company to procure goods from BEE companies.
We are looking forward to building an economy of our country together, and if you so wish a meeting can be arranged to explain our project.
