WHY AN INDUSTRIAL CHAMBER?
In the beginning there was the National African Federation Chamber of Commerce (NAFCOC) which represented all black business owners (i.e. Woman as well as Men).
They organised and fought for the rights, the existence and survival of black business in South Africa. In 1977 they formed an industrial Committee to stimulate the advancement of the manufacturing sector; from that committee NIC was founded. Today NIC stands alone, speaking out for the Black manufacturers and his brothers and sisters in the service related industries.
